Staying at Cocoshuku Shinjuku-Hanazono was a mix of fun and challenges. The Quadruple Room with Shower was spacious enough for my family of four, with comfortable beds that were surprisingly enjoyable despite some wear. I loved the quiet neighborhood, just 300m from Shinjuku-Gyoemmae station, making it so easy to get around. The self check-in was straightforward, but it took me a bit to figure out that I needed to check my email for the entrance code. The nearby convenience store was a lifesaver for snacks, and I found a fantastic grocery store close by too, but wish I’d found it earlier in my stay. I did notice some dusty spots and clogged air vents, which made me a bit uncomfortable. The in-house laundry room was quite useful, but it got really humid. All in all, I had a pleasant stay, but could use some cleaning improvements and clearer instructions about the check-in process.

quiet neighborhood, easy access to Red line, well-prepped room with coffee and slippers
The smell from the washroom was off-putting!!! Soap scum on sinks, dust on air conditioning vent, visible dust bunnies in corners made for a less than pleasant stay!!!

missingWrote a review on Sept 20great grocery store
I liked how it was quiet and safe , and it slept 2 adults and 2 kids nicely. There is an amazing grocery store that we found way too late that if you make a right out the hotel, right then a quick left go across the Main Street and should be to your right.
It wasn’t inexpensive , but still acceptable.

great experience but room could use updates
The room layout was quite efficient, making great use of the space. The location was very peaceful, yet just a short walk from transportation. I appreciated the well-prepared room, complete with coffee and cozy slippers. A bonus was the nearby convenience store for late-night snacks and essentials.

We had a lovely 4-night stay in a beautifully decorated room with bunk beds, which our kids loved! The small kitchen was super handy for making quick meals, and we enjoyed relaxing in the cozy living area. Only downside was no daily towel replacement, but it was manageable with a convenience store nearby for any essentials. 😊

Just a great match for a stopover in Tokyo with decent value for money. The self check-in process was incredibly simple and convenient. Bring a portable charger as there weren't many outlets in the room.
